Becoming me

$0.00

24 × 30 Original mixed media painting on gallery wrapped canvas.

This painting holds a deeply personal meaning for me. It represents my six-year battle with alopecia—a journey filled with both pain and inspiration. The patch on the girl's head is the same one I wore for so long, a constant reminder of my struggle and my growth. It was painful, yes, but it was also transformative.
Through this experience, I learned so much about myself. I realized that my hair doesn’t define me, that my worth lies in who I am, how I treat others, and the work I put into becoming a better version of myself every day. I learned that it is not my appearance that will be remembered, but the strength of my spirit and my heart. I learned what it truly means to be me.
Perhaps, in some other world, I chose this path—this challenge—so I could carry this story with pride and offer a hand to other women who are walking the same path. To those of you who are struggling, I see you, I feel you. You are not alone. Together, we are stronger than any battle we face. We were not born to be weak, we were born to rise.
They may say that a woman’s hair is her crown, but perhaps our crown is something far deeper—something that cannot be measured in strands. Our crown is in our hearts. And to wear a strong, resilient heart is to possess the power to conquer anything life throws our way.

I don’t have a set price for this painting. Instead, feel free to tell me a story about why this painting should belong to you.

Love you all.

Yours,

Veronika
